Rolly Tasker has been making sails for 50 years, during which time he has established sail lofts in Australia (currently the largest sail loft and rigging shop in that country), Hong Kong (purchased by Neil Pryde), France (now Tasker France), and Thailand.
At this very moment there are
TENS of THOUSANDS of Rolly Tasker sails propelling dinghies,
cruising yachts and racing yachts of all sizes world wide. We
build everything from tiny Sunfish sails to huge furling mains
for mega-yachts. We currently supply several U.S. sailmakers and
boat builders, some of whom import our sails and attach their own
Logos. As a matter of fact your current sails just might have
been made by us! Unlike the other large sailmakers, what we
don't do is spend large sums of money on advertising, the cost of
which is passed on to the customer. Another reason for our lower
prices.
ABOUT OUR
LOFT
Our loft is located on Phuket
Island in southern Thailand, which has become one of the most
popular yachting destinations in Southeast Asia. It is also home
to the internationally renowned Phuket King's Cup Regatta, a
major event on the Asian racing circuit. Surrounded by palm
trees, this large, clean, high-tech facility is located right in
the middle of some of the most exotic cruising grounds in the
world. A SAILMAKERS DREAM! With a combination of state of the art
technology, efficient lay-out, and rigorous quality control we
are able to maintain our high standard of quality while at the
same time keeping costs down. The savings is evident in our
pricing.
ABOUT OUR
SAILS
Our sails are computer
designed and hand finished - the best of both worlds. All of the
materials we use to build these sails, from sail cloth and
battens to UV sewing thread and premium hardware, are imported
from America, Europe and Australia. The pride and skill of our
professional staff is evident in the superb workmanship and hand
finish which goes into every sail. This is important to us. After
all - no matter how good the design, a sail is only
as good as the people who put it together.
When you hoist one of our new
sails take a close look. Look at the stitching. Look at the hand
work. Look at the fine details, and then compare with a friends
sail. Then compare prices. The facts speak for themselves. You'll
never buy another sail from anyone else.
